Renovation of Laval University PEPS sports complex

The physical and sports education pavilion on Laval University’s main campus is the largest university complex in Eastern Canada. The complex offers students a range of equipment and a diverse program of sporting activities.

In 2017, Laval University contracted QMD to reorganize the swimming pool locker rooms and build a sports medicine clinic. This project required removing partitions, an asbestos removal operation, plumbing works, redefining the space, installing new interior structures and restoring the ceiling.

Due to the nature of this space, a specific ventilation system was required. This system was larger than any of the building’s entrances so we had to assemble and install it onsite. The adjacent offices were occupied during this project so we carried out our works discretely and did not disturb any medical or sporting activities in the pavilion.

Thanks to streamlined coordination on our part, the project was completed on time.
