McGill University – Redesign of the Faculty of Dentistry

The redesign of the Faculty of Dentistry is one of many mandates that McGill University has entrusted to QMD.

In 2015, we were contracted to deliver a series of extensive renovations on 4 non-consecutive floors (basement, ground floor, 2nd floor and 5th floor). This project required not only building modern classrooms and installing offices in the private clinic, but also building adapted classrooms in the workspaces of future dentists and installing the technical equipment required for training students (dental laboratories and a sterilization cabinet, in particular). We also carried out works on the mechanical and electrical systems in the basement and installed special pipework for transporting medical gasses.

All of these works were completed in an occupied building with limited access. We made every effort to ensure that we did not disrupt teaching activities and that the works were completed.
